The Ceremony
We're pulling out the big guns for our ceremony. Initially, I suggested to Angela that we get one of her cats to serve as our ring bearer. Awesome, right? Wrong. Apparently, bestowing the ring bearer honor on just one cat would upset the delicate egalitarian social structure of her entire herd. Anyway, after a lot of discussion and bargaining and careful negotiation with Angela and her cats, we realized, why have just one ring bearer, when we could have 8?!
Angela is going to tether 7 of the cats, all wearing matching suits, to a little red wagon. They're going to pull Dear Tabby (who is no longer ambulatory, poor fella) and he will be outfitted with a special saddle, which we'll attach the ring boxes to. I think it's going to be awfully cute. Angela is really excited too, although she's a little nervous her cats might defend the rings-they're really reluctant to give her away. But the chance that I'll be severely scratched and bitten is one I'm willing to take to please my princess. Also, I plan on slipping them large amounts of Vicodin prior to the ceremony, to loosen them up a bit.
